Born in the era of Reganomics, Terrance J. Bolton was given a sense of purpose in his adolescence. He is a two-time American War Veteran who served 14 years in the United States Navy. He is a two time graduate of Texas Southern University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications Radio, Television & Film and a Master of Arts Degree in Professional Communications and Digital Media. He is in the 8th generation of his family to graduate from TSU and is a direct descendant of Dr. Ina A. Bolton first Dean of Women and Dean of Students of the institution.
He went on to enhance the Bolton Legacy during his matriculation through his collegiate years by being a model servant student leader. Terrance participated heavily at the university serving as a member of the Fighting Tiger Football Team, the award winning TSU Cheerleaders, the University Players theater troupe and The Collegiate 100 Black Men of America. He truly stepped into his leadership purpose by defying the odds and became the 67th Student Government Association President of Texas Southern University. Terrance is the former Associate Director and coach for the Miss Black Houston Pageant, an accomplished chef and entertainer. After his retirement from the military, he created his very own nonprofit organization called “Minority Veteran Partnership (MVP) of America” that targets minority veterans for assistance with their transition back into civilian life.
This company works diligently in the process of acquiring all of veterans benefits, educates them on their compensation and pension exams, assists with the building and establishing of their own businesses as well as a whole host of other services.
The Bolton Branch P.R. is the firm that Terrance created whist determining how he was going to get his training to institutions covered. Perfect positioning is what he’s great at. He knows a vast network of people is many arenas. That’s why he created the Bolton Branch so that he could teach collegiate level students their powers and how to truly take control of their institutions.
Currently, Terrance is Pursuing his Ph.D. in Educational leadership with a concentration on effective student leadership and cultivation at Prairie View A&M University. He is the first Texas Southern SGA President to seek a degree from Prairie View A&M. This is a promise he made his late father the day before he passed on. He is dedicated to the upward mobility and progression of his family, friends and all whom he encounters.
